QUICK TRICKS TO SAVE YOUR HEALTH DURING THE HOLIDAYS:
- When you eat sweets or breads, make sure you immediately get in some protein with it. This helps your blood sugar from spiking so much. Helps reduce the sugar blues too.
- When you eat sweets or breads, find fiber of any type even Metamucil. This helps to absorb and reduce the amount of sugar available to your colon, thus lowering the amount of sugar that gets into your system.
- When you eat sweets, bread and mashed potatoes, plan to only eat raw vegetables, and protein before and after your joyous junk food feast.
- Often we will drink more tea, coffee, soda and alcoholic beverages, so compensate by setting a half a gallon of water out each day. If you can finish this each day, often you will be able to finish the holiday with less bloating and irritation.
